Trojan Horse explores the duality of human vulnerability and hidden intent in the modern age. Driven by the core question of what we willingly let past our psychological defences, this work functions as a psychological portrait hidden beneath the surface of a contemporary aesthetic.
The creation of this piece represents a strict convergence of mediums; the visual composition was born directly from an original poem written during a period of introspection. The photograph acts as the physical manifestation of the verse, where light and shadow mirror the rhythm of the text.
By juxtaposing a modern photographic subject with the ancient Greek myth of the Trojan Horse, the artwork collapses the timeline between ancient warfare and modern emotional defence mechanisms.
It asks the viewer to consider: in our hyper-connected world, what illusions are we inviting into our personal sanctuaries?
